Some top manufacturers who will release smartphones in 2022 include improved Apple's iPhone and budget buys from Samsung. There are many rumors on what will come out in the coming year.  Below are the top smartphone options for 2022.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is a follow-up of the S20, which came out in early 2020, and the S20 FE came out later that same year. The S21 FE is likely to launch in early 2022, and industry watchers say it is most likely to launch during Samsung CES Keynote in January. The phone has some great features, including the ultra-powerful Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 processor and a triple rear camera with 32, 12, and 8-megapixel lenses.

Other rumored features are 5G enabled, a 6.4-inch screen with a 1080 resolution and a 120Hz AMOLED panel. Compared to other smartphones with comparable features, Samsung smartphones are popular because they provide excellent value for the available phone features, and they are well priced.

Apple iPhone SE 3

Apple continuously raises expectations every year, and 2022 is not an expectation. The lead smartphone manufacturer will release the iPhone SE 3 in 2022. The budget third-generation iPhone is likely to have features such as being 5G enabled, a powerful processor compared to its predecessor, the iPhone SE 2.

It may have face identification which is an upgrade from Touch ID. Industry pundits think the iPhone SE 3 will have modern features that upgrade the phone's functionality, but the phone's design will not veer too much from the original look of the iPhone SE. The new smartphone is likely to keep its affordability factor, making it such a big hit for people who want iPhones but not the price point that comes with them.

Apple iPhone 14 Max

The other Apple smartphone set to come out in 2022 is the iPhone 14 Max. Apple released the iPhone 13 in 2021, but the iPhone 14 Max is set to be an even bigger and better version, literally. The iPhone 14 max is likely to be larger than previous smartphones of that iPhone generation, with a 6.7-inch screen for the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The iPhone 14 Max is thought to maximize screen size but will not significantly improve the features such as the cameras, processors, and sensors. The phone is a larger screen version of the previous version. However, the Pro and Pro Max smartphone versions will likely improve the camera to a 48-megapixel wide rear camera and tweak the phone design. The iPhone 14 max and Pro smartphones are likely to be released in September, typical of Apple launches.

OnePlus 10

One Plus 10 will release new, improved phone versions in January 2022. The OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro will have improved features that include powerful processors Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets, more extensive storage options for the OnePlus Pro, and a better camera set up with a 50-megapixel camera lens with two other lenses.

The Chinese phone manufacturer is also improving the battery of the phone models to have them last longer, even with the improved features. The phone design is also rumored to change slightly with improvements to the camera setup.

Oppo Find N

Oppo will release the foldable smartphone Oppo Find N joining Samsung in the foldable smartphones category. Oppo Find N has three display screens, one which will be the outset, and the other two are inside panels that you can combine using a hinge. When you merge the inside panels, the resulting display is very large, appealing as larger screens become more popular.

Oppo Find N operates with a powerful Snapdragon 888 processor and storage of 6GB RAM. The smartphone has five cameras on its three displays, three cameras on the back panel, and two for selfies. One selfie lens is operable when you fold the display, while the second lens appears as you open the display.
