Why should I patent my invention?

Why should I patent my invention?

A patent owner has exclusive rights to prevent or stop others from commercially exploiting the patented invention, which means that the invention cannot be commercially manufactured, used, distributed, imported or sold by others without the patent owner’s agreement.

Patent grants the owner a monopoly to use and commercialize its protected invention for the period of its protection and it  gives the right to initiate a legal action against anyone that is making or selling the invention without the owner’s permission.
