The first method to identify a motherboard is quite simple. You have to thoroughly check the motherboard to find the right information. Most of the motherboards provide basic yet important information which will give you an idea about the model of the motherboard.

What you need to find in a Motherboard is an FCC number. An FCC ID is a unique identifier assigned to a device registered with the United States Federal Communications Commission. The FCC no. will give you all the data you need about your motherboard you need. There is a high chance that the FCC number is available on your current motherboard. Search thoroughly in the motherboard and you will get that.

After getting the FCC number, go to FCCID.IO and enter your FCCID to get the details of your motherboard. If you are not able to fetch the FCC ID in the motherboard, then follow the next method.

2. By using BIOS

While booting up the system, pause the boot when the BIOS information is loaded on the screen. You can pause it by pressing the pause/break key on the keyboard. You will get the key information on the screen.

3. By running CMD

This one is pretty and straightforward. Open the Windows search and type CMD and enter it. After that, copy/ paste this line “wmic baseboard” and hit enter.
